“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but YOU {emphasis bjb} do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2: 14- 17

Hans Brinker

A Parable of Faith Activation

“The dam is breaking! The dam is breaking! Emergency!!!” The screams of the people of Borderville frantically scurrying to get out of harm’s way echoed from the hillsides surrounding the town. Chaos everywhere! People watched in horror from hilltops and housetops as a wall of water rushed down the ravine sweeping over everything in its path. Thousands of homes gone in a moment. Families swept away. Utter and complete devastation in the wake with more tragedy ahead in its path.

Warnings had been given prior, but no one listened. There was a lot of talk, several plans were put forth, money had even been allocated, but nothing was done. Now, it was too late.

Emergency broadcasts flooded the airways urgently notifying people to seek higher ground. There was a cry, too, for volunteers to help tend the wounded and homeless.

It wasn’t long before the government issued a “warning” to local residents, and they began to organize shelters and supplies for the many victims. The Governor sought Federal assistance asking it be declared an “EMERGENCY!” Thousands of homes had already been destroyed. Many lives had been lost, and still the enormity of this tragedy was only beginning.

The water surged downhill wiping out everything in its path. Homes, schools, churches … businesses. It was ruthless.

Within a half hour of the breach, three or four helicopters peppered the sky. Whether journalists reporting the story or government agencies looking at the devastation was unclear. News bulletins resounded across the nation.

The hours began to roll by. The path of tragedy grew. The cry for help continued. Checks began to pour in from the American public. Emergency “#800” phones were organized. Government agencies brought supplies to nearby make shift shelters. Piles of blankets and cases of water grew.

The following weekend, pleas issued from pulpits in churches, tabernacles, mosques, as well as community outreach programs. Tons of building and survival supplies were quickly being gathered at points from coast to coast.

Hollywood celebrities and politicians issued calls for help from their walled-in mansions and executive offices. Photos flashed across TV screens and computer screens of the gorgeous celebs at fundraisers supporting the victims relief effort.

Hours and days passed. The flood continued to demolish town after town, home after home. Politicians chose sides: some pleaded for more money and supplies to tend the victims, and others wanted, first, to repair the dam.

“Oh no, we must let the water go and take care of the people first! That is the compassionate thing. To repair the dam is taking food out of the childrens’ mouths!” they said.

A handful of volunteers gathered at the local Red Cross. The size or their task was immeasurable. Money was plentiful. Supplies from the government were available, but volunteers were scarce. Seems everyone had a reason not to lend a physical hand to help the distraught and displaced survivors.

* ~ * ~ * ~ *

There is a children’s story I recall – The Little Dutch Boy, by Mary Mapes Dodge. Peter Miller writes this synopsis of the tale:

“Dutch legend has it that there was once a small boy who upon passing a dyke (or dam) on his way to school noticed a slight leak as the sea trickled in through a small hole. Knowing that he would be in trouble if he were to be late for school, the boy poked his finger into the hole and so stemmed the flow of water. Some time later a passerby saw him and went to get help. This came in the form of other men who were able to effect repairs on the dyke and seal up the leak.

“This story is told to children to teach them that if they act quickly and in time, even they with their limited strength and resources can avert disasters. The fact that the Little Dutch Boy used his finger to stop the flow of water, is used as an illustration of self-sacrifice. The physical lesson is also taught: a small trickle of water soon becomes a stream and the stream a torrent and the torrent a flood sweeping all before it, Dyke material, roadways and cars, and even railway tracks and bridges and whole trains.”

The Bible teaches God is a personal God. He is interested in our individual growth and character. In America, and in our world today, there are several “dams breaking.” We have agency upon agency duplicating tasks and spending obscene amounts of money, and accomplishing little. President Johnson back in the 60’s declared a “War on Poverty,” establishing “Social Security (creating medicare & medicaid) and “Food Stamp Act.”

As noble as the “War on Poverty” idea is, we have MORE poverty today, not less. We’ve lost the “War on Poverty!” Look around! If these programs actually worked, wouldn’t the percentages decrease and the numbers of thriving Americans increase? Service programs abound, but people willing to volunteer their time and talents are few. Government not equipped to tend the needs of individual families or communities. Government cannot empathize or feel compassion. We can!

Service_To_Others_Quote

See, only we, as individuals and neighbors know the specific needs of one another and have the ability to feel compassion. The thing about helping others … not only does serving one another help them, the victims, but it activates us! There is something reciprocal that happens when we reach out to “care” for another human being. I’ve heard it from missionaries to go with the warm intention of helping others, but they return feeling more a recipient than a giver.

It’s about people, a “People Connection” that opens our hearts and drowns the fears we have of people, of strangers. We are free to serve, yes, but only in doing does the reverse become true – our service frees us! Only in service to our neighbors does our faith become activated. Regardless of whether our religion is Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism … it is our personal service to others that confirms, affirms, and activates our Faith.

It’s Not Complicated!!!

god-is-love_doodlesinvigorate1

It really is simple! For thousands of years, men of education, and assumed intelligence, have sought to explain what is elementary enough for the youngest, most simple-minded among us to grasp. We complicate it with sophistication, assuming we can improve the experience of history: HIS-STORY! We complicate it with lofty knowledge’s elaborate words trying to impress … whom? God? or man?

From before Creation was spoken into existence until the time of His-story’s culmination, GOD is LOVE. That’s it! Every thought, every word, and every action of God is motivated, directed, and empowered by LOVE. Unconditional Love. A Perfect Father’s Love.

fear_false_evidence_appearing_real

Problem: Burdened by inexplicable (and unaccepted in our society) guilt, we hate our Self. And because we hate our Self, we are unable to fully love any one or anything. We can’t give real love or receive it. We Fear instead. We fear alone-ness. We fear one another. We fear our differences. We fear our sin. We fear our Self. And we blame God.

Our imperfections, our sinfulness, cloud our understanding of God, of Love, so we distrust Him. This causes a separation resulting in loneliness, which is not about people, but about missing our closeness with Father God. In our loneliness, our vision (still clouded,) we see the brokenness and imperfections in others and feel repelled and rejected.

NEWSFLASH: GOD IS LOVE!!!!! Not just ambiguous, unfocused, vague, and random, but person, intimate, accepting and individual love. Every minute of every day, GOD is literally moving heaven and earth to LOVE YOU. He will not quit until your life’s last breath is gone.

Just a few of the hundreds of promises that are yours and mine!

Just a few of the hundreds of promises that are yours and mine!

What’s more … Every promise, every promise, every promise contained in His book … between Genesis 1 and Revelation 22 is a personal promise for YOU (and me.) But to see these promises fulfilled, though some again make it complicated, the only requirement is that you RECEIVE them. Of course, to do that, you must first have some belief that God can and will actually come through.

From the beginning of time, God knew we would fall, we would not always do the right thing. God knew, and because He didn’t want us to be estranged from Him indefinitely, so He set up a plan to reconcile us. It meant sending Himself in human form, Jesus, to live as a sin-free man. This enabled Jesus to choose to pay the price of my sinfulness, suffer and die on the cross, then walk out of the tomb, conquering death. Why? because He loves us and wants to hang out with us. Everything he says, everything He does, and everything He speaks comes from that Love … Everything!!!! He wants to love us outrageously, lavishly, happily, boundlessly forever! It’s really that simple!

Ray Comfort: Here is a rule of thumb when reading the Bible: “With God, nothing shall be impossible.”

Now you can believe that seas can open, food can fall from the heavens, the sun can stop, whales swallow people, animals can fit on a boat, arks float, walls tumble, and fish can multiply. It’s really quite simple.

Nothing is impossible in your personal life. Nothing is impossible in your family. No thing is impossible in this nation, if we return to God, receive His love and pass it on to one another freely, as He commands! God can fix what is broken in America, but first, we have to ask Him!

A Look at Today’s Political/Social Issues

PoliticalCorrectness

A Look at Today’s Political/Social Issues

“The poorest Americans today live a better life
than all but the richest persons a hundred years ago.”
James Q. Wilson, an American academic, political scientist, and an authority on public administration.

In today’s “fairness” political arena, there is a language that has developed. It is a PC language – politically correct. It is a despicable thing, because it limits FREEDOM in the name of “tolerance!” There is a horrible irony in the politically correct language that is supposed to reflect tolerance, it instead is bullying incarnate! It rewards agreement and punishes disagreement! It is defined by whatever position of power exists – and changes with the wind of political change. The sobering thing is that it’s a relatively new development in America. It’s virtually impossible to speak these days without “offending” someone about something, so our response is to remove the object of offense from our language whether it is Christmas, abstinence, or Islam.

We’ve been made afraid. We’ve been made afraid to speak up, to speak our mind on any number of issues we face today, if our opinion differs from those in positions of power. If we do not speak our mind, the argument SEEMS to be solved, but it really just simmers below the surface until the threat is lifted. The abortion argument is a perfect case in point. It never really went away like it was supposed to, it just went “underground” for a time.

voltaire- censureFear, my friends, is VERY telling!

We’re supposed to avoid talk of religion and politics, right? Why? Usually, the answer revolves around ruffling someone else’s feathers, upsetting the balance, the quiet, the calm. Right? Religion (or our personal belief system) and politics are our most personal thoughts, feelings, and ideals. We might even call them intimate.

  • If I say I am opposed to gay-marriage, it is ASSUMED I hate gays.
  • If I say I am opposed to “Obamacare,” it is ASSUMED I am unsympathetic to the needs of the poor.

Neither is accurate. I AM poor, for pete’s sake! But I am also rich! FAMILY makes us rich. FAITH makes us rich. WORK makes us rich. STRUGGLE makes us rich. HARDSHIP makes us rich in compassion. ACHIEVEMENT makes us rich. FAILURE makes us rich. INTEGRITY makes us rich. SELF-RELIANCE makes us rich.

In between the liberal position on the LEFT which is allegedly “fairness,” and their accusation of “hate-mongering” directed at certain people-groups, there is a wide expanse of options.

The REAL issue isn’t “fairness” or “equality,”
but the issue is unanimity, conformity, the making of clones!

Think about it.

  • If you have a home you wish to sell, one of the first things a Realtor will tell you is … NEUTRAL COLORS, right? Whites, creams, beiges … nondescript colors with occasional “splashes” of color. CONFORM!
  • The same applies to autos. If you look at the cars on the road, most are white, gold, silver … no color. CONFORM!
  • More seriously, in spite of educational research, curricula is designed to “fit” only a small percentage of our students. Teachers are taught how to present materiel and then assess the student’s grasp of it by narrow questions with specific answers. No critical thought, no independent thought is encouraged. If a student offers an idea, a response different than the one asked for, it is wrong. Sometimes it is word-specific, so that even if a different WORD is used than the one issued, it is wrong. CONFORM!

We are told Religion is fine, but only within certain perimeters.

  • California Couple Fined $300 for Holding Home Bible Studies CONFORM!
  • Man behind anti-Muslim film gets 1 year in prison: no trial, no defense attorney CONFORM!
  • Arizona Pastor Arrested, Jailed for Holding Bible Study in Home; His Wife Says It ‘Defies Logic CONFORM!
  • Today is Stand with Hobby Lobby Day CONFORM!

kids-saying-pledgeFifty years ago, all children were given the tools necessary to mature into responsible, productive citizens. Children with hearing or vision impairment were put into “special” schools where they were given tools to enable them to co-exist in society. Blind children were taught Braille and perhaps the use of a cane or aid-dog. Deaf children were taught sign language and often, lip-reading. Children with other different learning disabilities or mental illness were also given skills to help them be self-sufficient. That was the goal: self-sufficiency. This was the goal for ALL schools and students, to become responsible, productive citizens.

Occupy Wall StreetWhat are the goals today? We have children even graduating from the most prestigious universities with no literacy in world or American history, with sketchy reading skills, and most importantly, with little or no ability to THINK for themselves. Percent of high school graduates who can’t read in 2012 is 19%!!! But they are encouraged to participate in the “Occupy” movement! They are taught a “state ideology” (generally, Secular Humanism, which translates politically into Socialism) from Preschool through any ivy league school you choose while simultaneously, they are taught that “independent thought” is bad. But the goal is … exactly what? When 44% of college freshman don’t make it to graduation, what does that say? With a population gravitating toward government handouts instead of jobs and the benefits inherent in work, with schools that look more like high security prisons, and with a culture that is learning to FEAR freedom, what is the goal of education, of government “social justice” programs, of unanimity?

To encourage able-bodied Americans to become unwittingly enslaved to a system that encourages deeper dependence on government programs rather than encouraging independence is outrageous! THIS is a “unanimity” problem. If I can’t afford what my neighbors have, it’s “not fair! This becomes a moral problem AND a fiscal problem.

Unanimity (conformity) is NOT liberty!

    gaymarriage

  1. Homosexual lifestyle is now introduced to children of kindergarten age. Instead of working on academic skills, pre-reading skills, early math skills, teachers are mandated to talk about “sexual orientation” with children too young to have ever had a sexual thought! This is NOT responsible education!

In reference to gay marriage, the Bible clearly opposes homosexuality. The fact that it is ISSUE is indication that homosexuality is NOT the norm. (Gal 5: 16-21; Genesis 19:1-13) Now, here’s the rub. We, as Christians, are COMMANDED to LOVE one another, not just those with whom we agree.

We often hear the phrase, “Hate the sin, but love the sinner!” Sadly, most Americans, believers or not, have not learned how to separate a lifestyle from a person. Matthew 7 has some very specific instruction, though, for how we should interact with one another. There is NO HATE directed at the person, only any “unholy” behavior, but is homosexuality worse than gossip? or adultery? or gluttony? Perhaps harder to conquer, but sin is sin. It is NOT for us to judge, but to love! Period!

  2. Ben Franklin on CHARITY

  3. The same applies to the poor. I believe free handouts to the poor do not serve them in any way. Jesus declared, “For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always.” (Mt 26: 11; Jn 12: 8; Mk 14:7) There will always be some people that are unable due to physical or mental challenges to maintain a job. This does not necessarily mean there isn’t something they can do to help on occasion. Our self worth as humans is determined, built, or maintained by our ability to contribute to a family, a community, or a specific situation. WORK is not an evil thing. It is a beneficial thing for humans. The Bible teaches the individual believer to share, John (the Baptist) said, Luke 3: 11-14
“11 If you have two shirts, share with the person who does not have one. If you have food, share that also.”
12 Even tax collectors came to John to be baptized. They said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?”
13 John said to them, “Don’t take more taxes from people than you have been ordered to take.
14 The soldiers asked John, “What about us? What should we do?”
John said to them, “Don’t force people to give you money, and don’t lie about them. Be satisfied with the pay you get.”

No place in there do we see anything about government or mandates. It is not government’s job or responsibility to oversee charitable donations of substance or time & talent. “For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” (2 Thes 3:10)

  4. pregnany is_punishment_obama

  5. Which brings me, finally, to abortion-on-demand as paid for by public funds via Federally sponsored programs including, but not limited to Planned Parenthood. It’s OUTRAGEOUS! It has been for 40 years since the decision was rendered that was supposed to silence the opposition! Clearly, it hasn’t as over 500,000 Americans gathered in DC for the 40th Anniversary March on one of the coldest days this winter. The President’s HHS mandate has stirred up more anguish and dissension than ever. Nothing is settled because, as reminded by the Founders, any law that is not in agreement with the “Law of Nature and Nature’s God” will not stand by virtue of the very definition of Natural Law.

No one is debating the instances of rape, incest, or medical emergency. Those are NOT the procedures in debate! As a Conservative, the promiscuity that has taken over our culture via the media blitz is maddening. Our young people can’t get away from the images and ideas of sex, even if they are inclined to try to avoid them. The tools that COULD be used to bring about so much positive change are misused by those wielding liberal, unhealthy ideas of sexuality and relationship, among other things.

CONCLUSION: Though we’re not crazy, we can, as wise humans, recognize the benefits of hardship, if we trust God. We know that God uses everything that happens (there are no accidents) for our benefit but also for the benefit of others around us. We are promised “tribulations!” (Rom 8:28)

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
    2 Corinthians 4:8-10

self-relianceIf the CHURCH (the organized institution of all Christian & Catholic congregations) was doing its job correctly, there wouldn’t be the need for any government programs to tend the needs of the poor. Even so, the job of helping those in need falls on We-the-People, the neighbors, the community … NOT the Federal government via need-oriented programs like food stamps, welfare, and medicaid! EVERYONE has something they can contribute, some talent to share, some richness to give no matter how old or young, how rich or poor, how strong or weak. Allowing each person to contribute, allows each one the blessing of giving, as well as receiving. Though it may not always FEEL like it, work and even hardship are beneficial to our human condition!

While political correctness has made huge changes within our society, we can still – that’s WE-the-PEOPLE – can still turn our great ship of state toward a more humane greatness simply with a restoration of a solid moral code that resists PC language. Political correctness comes and goes, but true moral standards stand against the tides of political debate.

“Do you have a BRAIN?
Yes? Then THINK your way out of your mess!”

There is help available, but it’s the responsibility of each individual to grow and become responsible, productive, self-reliant, and contributing Americans!

    Riddles in the Dark

The storm cloud swirls and descends quite slowly,
Closing in on all that breathes,
    Silently, and thoroughly unholy,
It comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

We talk about Freedom, and we talk about war,
Capitalist Chiefs, and riddles in the dark,
We build our own fears until they become more,
Until they surround us, blind us, and paralyze our spark.

Truth fades away beneath its innocent costume,
Tromped on and spat upon in ignorant bliss,
As the voices of the past with hope we exhume,
Proclaiming from the ramparts, “Let freedom ring!”

“What you can’t see will kill you, if you let it,”
But we shake our heads in naive disbelief,
While darkness creeps closer to completely overtake us,
To surgically remove our personal choices.

If we would but dare to take a valiant stand,
If we could only escape your own skin,
If we would merely dare to believe, then
Check for monsters and lock the door.

Maybe then we’d learn to appreciate,
All our forefathers fought to preserve:
The bundle of rights that serves to guide us,
And the right to pursue the happiness we desire.

N.Korea threatens “physical response” to U.S. moves

OLD NEWS: About a year ago, Americans were battered by news and threats of an eminent confrontation with North Korea, remember? The networks, cable, and talk shows analyzed and over-analyzed the situation up one side and down the other. War was coming … they were sure. The sky was falling, they were convinced and they told us repeatedly until the issue just faded into news oblivion.

    Paranoia strikes deep,
Into your heart it will creep.
It happens when you’re always afraid,
Step out of line, and the man come to take you away.

Fear of Islamic Militant Attacks in Nigeria Spreads to Lagos

EVERYDAY NEWS: “The fear of attacks by Islamic militants in Nigeria is spreading south to the commercial capital, Lagos, where city buses are being checked for bombs. A group that says it is fighting for a separate Islamic state is thought responsible for a series of attacks across the north.

“Bomb attacks and ambushes in the northern city of Maiduguri have indefinitely closed the university there and led to an exodus of civilians, some of whom are newly unemployed motorbike taxi drivers after all motorbikes were banned in Maiduguri because Islamic militants were using them to throw bombs.

    Courage is resistance to fear,
    mastery of fear,
    not absence of fear.

    Mark Twain

Obama: No guarantee for Social Security checks

TODAY’S NEWS: “It was a striking thing today to see the President of the United States say that he cannot guarantee the 27 million Social Security checks that are due to be mailed on August 3rd.”

Striking, indeed! Words cannot express the outrage, the frustration, the offense perpetrated by the President’s remarks. This is a bold face LIE!

    A BOLD-FACE LIE!

One of many lies oozing from the White House these days. To intentionally terrify our Seniors by intimating insufficient funds for their Social Security checks is beyond reprehensible! The many thousands of Seniors who rely on those checks to pay their everyday living expenses need to be assured THEIR money is safe and will be in the mail as its usual time regardless of a deal on the budget/debt ceiling. Confusion breeds fear, and truth dispels it. Simple as that!

“This debt limit increase is his [President Obama’s] problem,” Rep. Boehner said. “And I think it’s time for him to lead by putting his plan on the table something that the Congress can pass.” AMEN!

FEAR is terror. Terrorists breed terror! Are you following my thinking? Where is Homeland Security? I have a complaint!

Are WE THE PEOPLE getting tired of this yet? Had enough lies, yet? Had enough manipulation of the masses yet? How ’bout that Executive Order today taking away the 2nd Amendment rights of those living along the border. First the stimulus money pays for the whole “GUNRUNNER” scheme which then backfires, so now ya, let’s disarm the American people so they can’t protect themselves. Sure! That makes sense! Let those drug cartels and Islamic terrorists freely come and go. No need for borders, right?

“We must build dikes of courage to hold back the flood of fear.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

More and more it seems this administration, and the powers that be behind him, intends nothing good for America. That’s a very hard thing to fathom, but the evidence is mounting. Martin Luther King, Jr. understood fear. He understood the power of fear. Today, WE THE PEOPLE are challenged by fear all around us. The America we have known is quickly falling into corruption beyond anything we have seen before.

    WE THE PEOPLE …

    • must remember who we are and our noble heritage.

    WE THE PEOPLE …

    • must remember what we have known, what we have seen, what we have loved about America.

    WE THE PEOPLE …

    • must remember how we were thrust into this “War on Terror!” We must remember 9/11 and the unity that ensued!

    WE THE PEOPLE …

    • must resolve to do our part to reclaim America and restore her liberties, for all law-abiding Americans!

Generation Fear: Life after Sept. 11 for those who grew up with terror
“The fleeting seconds that changed the world began with a whisper in the ear from a White House aide.

“And though George W. Bush somehow retained his composure in that Florida classroom — the weight of history settling on his shoulders, a copy of The Pet Goat in his hands — what the children remember most is how his face turned red.

“Deep red. Angry red. Not a face for reading gentle morality tales with moon-faced second-graders at Sarasota’s Emma E. Booker Elementary School.” READ MORE

“Stop, children, what’s that sound? Everybody looks what going down. Battle lines are being drawn. Nobody’s right, if everybody’s wrong … Step out-a line the men come and take you away. Think it’s time we …

    STOP!

    There’s something happening here.
What it is ain’t exactly clear.
There’s a man with a gun over there,
Telling me I got to beware.
I think it’s time we stop, children, what’s that sound?
Everybody look what’s going down …
    “

“Protection, therefore, against the tyranny of the magistrate is not enough; there needs protection also against the tyranny of the prevailing opinion and feeling; against the tendency of society to impose, by other means than civil penalties, its own ideas and practices as rules of conduct on those who dissent from them.” ~ John Stuart Mill

Something IS happening here in America. This song was written as a PROTEST song as unrest grew at home during Vietnam under the inflated and misguided influence of the media. That same media is out of control now! When the major networks can get away with blatant lies in order to manipulate the public … Whatever happened to responsible journalism? Like every place else, virtue has declined. It is no longer satisfactory just to write a good story, to uncover some scandal, or inform the public of some dastardly scheme. Journalism has deteriorated into yet another commercially-motivated industry at the expense of journalistic integrity. If WE THE PEOPLE cannot count on the media to inform us, and we can’t count on Washington to be honest with us, then we will have to find a way to stay informed on our own – SELF-RELIANCE! “It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound? Everybody look what’s going down.”

    Paranoia strikes deep:
Into your life it will creep.
It starts when you’re always afraid.
You step out of line, the man come and take you away.

I watched one of the news shows this morning with Christiane Amanpour. She interviewed White House Chief of State, Bill Daley concerning the budget talks. From start to finish, the administration’s intent was clearly rehearsed and repeated. The aim is to push blame at Republicans who are the “grown ups” here, standing firm at NO TAXES. Repeatedly, Daley used the phrase “kick the can” in reference to the Rep’s righteous, immovable stand while completely negating the two years the Dem’s had to come up with helpful solid economic help, not to mention the several months since Rep Ryan made his ill-timed, but worthy budget proposal. Still no leadership out of the Whitehouse. It has always been the Rep’s to give in, to cave under pressure of becoming the “bad guys.” Not this time – NOT THIS TIME! We cannot afford to bend. Washington must stop spending and NOT at the expense of the upper income brackets who are already paying in excess of 40% of our expenses!

    STOP!

The whole default notion is BUNK … Social Security and Medicare have sufficient funds to pay NOW. There are sufficient appropriations to cover current expenses. What we cannot do is allow WASHINGTON to SPEND MORE … and MORE … and MORE … and MORE … and MORE … and MORE … and MORE … and MORE … and more …………. There MUST be a CAP. There must be a balanced Budget amendment, and there must be deep cuts everywhere – even the Defense budget can use some trimming! CUT WASTE!

I think it’s time we stop,
    WE THE PEOPLE,
    what’s that sound?
    Everybody LOOK what’s going down!

    THE ME Inside of ME

I have a secret living deep inside of me,
A hidden place wherein me dwells
    A secret few can see.

Way down deep inside me lives the ME I used to be,
    Untouched by human weaknesses,
    Before, when I was free.

Life itself took aim and fired at certain parts of me,
Wrapped chains of fear around my soul,
    But freedom must be free.

With each breath my self I see much like I used to be,
With ever breath I’m younger still,
I want you all to see!
