teapartypatriots

The general unrest across America is palpable! People are angry, frustrated, and disgusted with the ‘business as usual’ in DC, but they also feel helpless. Clearly, the majority of our elected officials no longer care two hoots what the people want. Suddenly, once elected, they simply work toward fulfilling their own agenda, whatever that is. Usually, it’s little more than lining their own pockets with taxpayer money!

HIST 100% Fed up!

The “system” is so badly out of whack that WE, the PEOPLE feel we have little or no recourse, no place to argue our distrust of government, no place to flay the “mainstream media” for feeding us only their left-leaning drippings, no place to decry the GREED from top to bottom because morality is currently out of fashion. Sadly, many decent Americans have simply given up and gone into hiding, so to speak.

I heard Sean Hannity a few weeks ago in conversation with a guest from the Republican party attempt to explain an opinion I agree with – Americans are so accustomed to the media’s definition of “Conservativism” that we are left to play defense on the various issues America faces. The would-be voices of Conservative leaders are silenced or manipulated into idiocy beyond recognition. As Americans, WE must define ourselves. WE must make more noise, positive noise! Let the left continue to make a mess of things for now, but USE our successes to prove our point. Use the soaring economy in the Dakotas and Texas to demonstrate the success of Conservative economic policies. Bring national social issues to a referendum – things like abortion and same-sex marriage. Let WE-the PEOPLE declare our choices loud and clear. CONSERVATISM is both logical and pragmatic, and it is what America needs!!!

WE must make more NOISE!!!

Where Is Our Voice in the Wilderness Touting Conservatism?

By Lloyd Marcus · Sep. 18, 2014

For crying out loud, will someone “pleeeeease” take a stand for Conservatism? Someone forwarded this article to me, “Why Are Republicans Suddenly Leaning Left?” The article cites numerous examples of the GOP obviously believing it must embrace at least lukewarm Liberalism while backing away from Conservatism to win elections.

TEA Party GOALS

The article mentioned that Mitt Romney avoided saying “Republican” in an ad supporting Scott Brown’s Senate run. Romney said in the ad referring to Brown, “will buck his own party to do what’s right for New Hampshire.” Romney’s statement implies that Conservatism can be mean, but rest assured that Brown will push back if Republicans go down that road. This hogwash drives me nuts because Conservatism is not mean; Liberalism is mean!

Mr. Romney you are an honorable man. But, if you are not going to boldly articulate the superior attributes of Conservatism; how it is rooted in compassion and why it is most beneficial to all Americans – if you are afraid to explain the foundational evils of Liberalism, please stay home; out of the 2016 presidential race.

In the first 2012 presidential debate, Romney kicked Obama’s butt with truth and facts. Then, Romney went on “prevent defense” in the next debate. His behavior said, “I have Obama on the ropes. I’m not going to say or do anything to blow my lead.” Consequently, in the second debate Romney allowed Obama to get away with lies.

Clueless low info voters believed Obama’s lies and his sycophant MSM allies said nothing. Romney’s lukewarm defense of Republican principles (Conservatism) led to 4 million frustrated Republican voters staying home, not bothering to cast their votes on election day. READ MORE HERE

An affordable, reliable energy supply is fundamental to a prosperous and growing economy. With the right policies in place, America can become an energy superpower – and we can end our expensive and dangerous dependence on OPEC. Until recently, this would have been unthinkable. But as is so often the case, the hard work and innovation of American workers and businesses have yielded astonishing results. While the government was throwing hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars away at Solyndra, new technologies developed in the private sector have unleashed an energy revolution in this country.

A successful national energy strategy will have a fundamental influence on the well-being of the nation. Dramatically increasing domestic energy production can bolster the competitiveness of virtually every industry in the country, creating millions of new jobs from coast to coast. With fewer energy imports and more exports of manufactured goods, America’s trade deficit will decline and the dollar will strengthen. The benefits even extend beyond immediate economic growth. The lease payments, royalties, and taxes paid to the American people in return for the development of our resources will yield more than a trillion of dollars in new government revenue over time. And all Americans can rest assured that the nation’s security is no longer beholden to unstable but oil-rich regions half way around the world…

    MITT’S PLAN

Mitt Romney will make America an energy superpower, rapidly and responsibly increasing our own production and partnering with our allies Canada and Mexico to achieve energy independence on this continent by 2020. This will require genuine support for increased energy production, a more rational approach to regulation, and a government that facilitates private-sector-led development of new energy technologies by focusing on funding research and removing barriers, rather than chasing fads and picking winners and losers.

    • Empower states to control onshore energy development
    • States will be empowered to control all forms of energy production on all lands within their borders, excluding only those that are specifically designated off-limits. Federal agencies will certify, but the states will lead.

    • Open offshore areas for energy development
    • Mitt will establish the most robust five-year offshore lease plan in history, that opens new areas for resource development – including off the coasts of Virginia and the Carolinas – and sets minimum production targets to increase accountability.

    • Pursue a North American Energy Partnership
    • Mitt will approve the Keystone XL pipeline, establish a new regional agreement to facilitate cross-border energy investment, promote and expand regulatory cooperation with Canada and Mexico and institute fast-track regulatory approval processes for cross-border pipelines and other infrastructure.

    • Ensure accurate assessment of energy resources
    • Instead of relying on decades-old surveys developed with decades-old technologies, Mitt’s plan facilitates new energy assessments to determine the true extent of our resource endowment.

    • Restore transparency and fairness to permitting and regulation
    • Mitt will pursue measured reforms of our environmental laws and regulations to strengthen environmental protection without destroying jobs or paralyzing industries. Mitt’s plan will also streamline the gauntlet of reviews, processes, administrative procedures, and lawsuits that mire so many new projects in red tape.

    • Facilitate private-sector-led development of new energy technologies

Mitt will promote innovation by focusing the federal government on the job it does best – research and development – and will eliminate any barriers that might prevent new energy technologies from succeeding on their own merits. Strengthening and streamlining regulations and permitting processes will benefit the development of both traditional and alternative energy sources, and encourage the use of a diverse range of fuels including natural gas in transportation.

MITT’S PLAN HAS WIDE-RANGING BENEFITS FOR AMERICA.

    • More than three million new jobs, including over one million in manufacturing;
    • An economic resurgence adding more than $500 billion to GDP;
    • A stronger dollar and a reduced trade deficit;
    • More than $1 trillion in revenue for federal, state, and local governments;
    • Lower energy prices for job creators and middle-class families; and
    • National security strengthened by freedom from dependence on foreign energy supplies.

BLOGGER’S NOTE: I heave heard many people say, “Well, Obama has been bad for the USA, but what will Mitt do?” Try as I might, over the last few weeks, I haven’t read much about MITT’s plans. Lots about why Obama is a failure and needs to be replaced, but little about MITT. I assume much of that is due to the MSM bias and lack of coverage for Romney/Ryan on the campaign trail. With this in mind, I have taken it upon myself to inform myself AND any of my readers as care to learn what Mitt is all about. The obvious place to start is on his website. Explore!

    Capitol or School Yard?

All great change in America begins at the dinner table.”
    Ronald Reagan

What is more central to a civilization, a culture than the family unit? The strength and design of the family defines the culture, and, as such, its future.

    What is a Family?

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a family is “a group of two or more people who reside together and who are related by birth, marriage, or adoption” (U.S. Census Bureau).

20 Signs That The Moral Decline Of America Is Spinning Wildly Out Of Control

*WARNING: Sensitive readers may be offended by photos

    WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!!!

“#1) 37 years after Roe v. Wade, 50 million babies have been killed and yet the United States is still continuing to abort babies with no end in sight.

#2) Cindy McCain, the wife of Republican Senator John McCain, and their daughter Meghan have both posed for photos endorsing pro-gay marriage forces in California.

#3) According to one new report, Barack Obama is planning to issue a letter in the next couple weeks that will guarantee U.S. government support for a plan to give much of the West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem to the Palestinians within two years.

#4) As if going through airport security was not enough of a hassle, now TSA employees are playing cruel pranks on passengers.

#5) Goldman Sachs has officially confessed to “improper behavior” during the housing crash – but they aren’t about to give all that money back.” READ ON

The belief that America is degenerating on a moral level is shared by both Republicans and Democrats. According to a new Gallup poll, 82 percent of Republicans and 78 percent of Democrats say that moral values in the U.S.A. are only fair or downright poor. 40 years ago, only 33 percent of Americans felt that way.

So what’s happened? First, secular forces have destroyed any rendering of Judeo-Christian philosophy in the public school system. Many teachers are now ordered not to make value judgments on behavior and not to push any specific moral standards. Thus children receive little if any moral guidance in class.

Second, with the rise of single parent homes, more and more American kids wind up unsupervised for long periods of time, left to the television set or the computer, where harmful material comes at them like rain in a thunderstorm.

Third, major corporations now traffic in sex and violence to an extent never before seen in this country. Americans spend more than $10 billion a year on porn every year. And violent video games gross billions more for corporations.

Fourth, peer pressure to actually reject immoral behavior is virtually non-existent in many places. The military criminals at Abu Ghraib never could have committed their crimes if other soldiers did not look away. The code of silence about bad behavior is an infectious disease among Americans. “The left insists on its constructs, on isolating entire groups into neat categories of oppressed and oppressor, but it can only keep those categories alive by perpetuating their disempowerment in one way or another. Take Griggs v Duke Power Co, in which the Supreme Court held that it was racist for a company to ask for a high school diploma of its employees, because such a requirement had a disproportionate impact on minorities. Like many of the loonier Burger court decisions, this one was scaled back over time, but what of the idea behind it. That social justice involves lowering barriers for qualification, thereby discouraging ability and competence.” READ ON

the Importance of Morality or Character

Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character. ~ Albert Einstein

Nearly all men can stand adversity,
but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.
    ~ Abraham Lincoln

Only a man’s character is the real criterion of worth. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Character is much easier kept than recovered. ~ Thomas Paine

When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost. ~ Billy Graham

You cannot build character and courage by taking away a man’s initiative and independence. ~ Abraham Lincoln

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. ~ Helen Keller

A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of the user. ~
    Theodore Roosevelt

Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of a Christian mother in the molding of character in her children. ~ Billy Graham

A good conscience is a continual Christmas. ~ Benjamin Franklin

No change of circumstances can repair a defect of character.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Be polite to all, but intimate with few.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. ~ Abraham Lincoln

Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder. ~ George Washington

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today’s world do not have. ~ Ronald Reagan

Arbitrary power is most easily established on the ruins of liberty abused to licentiousness. ~ George Washington

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. ~ Abraham Lincoln

Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all. ~ George Washington

The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. ~ Abraham Lincoln

    Each individual American is responsible
for their own behavior, attitudes, and words.
It’s time to rebuild America’s Moral Character!
    Now or Never!

We’re Done with Compromise, with Mediocrity, and Mis-Representation!

BOTH sides of the aisle have a history of flying above the Law and below the moral radar. Each side has their own banter, but the 2010 election began a turn … There is a rumble, a deep rumble as one by one, AMERICANS – WE THE PEOPLE are awakening. We look around and barely recognize our America. The rumble of dissent is growing. The rumble of Patriotism is rising. The rumble from the “home of the brave and the land of the free” can be heard in the distance, swelling in volume and intensity. Neither left, nor right, Liberal nor conservative, Democrat or Republican … but AMERICANS are beginning to see, to hear, to smell a rat that is stinking up the whole nation with poisonous words designed to terrorize and turn American against American.

Divided we fall; United, we Stand!

    America’s Moral Decline

“The book, entitled “American Social Diseases,” highlights problems such as crime and drug use, and a “spiritual and moral crisis.” The book says the U.S. suffers from a “spiritual deficit” and faces “moral extinction.” It also cites “excessive sexual indulgence” as a problem.”

“Although some observers whine and gnash their teeth about how this [“Strategic defaults”–walking away from your mortgage] symbolizes the decline and fall of American morality, it’s what corporate borrowers have been doing forever, so it’s about time we eliminated the double-standard. (It’s also the way your bank views you–as a business transaction–so don’t romanticize it as an Indian blood-promise.)” READ MORE

Montana Bear Tragedy is about what happens to wildlife, in this case a bear, when visitors do not pay attention to the signs forbidding feeding the bears. CONTINUE READING

“Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Harry Truman could only dream of the kind of sophisticated and cosmopolitan understanding that folks in Peoria have now compared to the old days … By contrast, we have never had an Establishment that was so ill-equipped to lead. It is the Establishment, not the people, that is falling down on the job.” CONTINUE READING

WE THE PEOPLE need to retrace our steps. We need to find our “center,” our “CHARACTER.” We allowed it to slip away, not just in recent months, but over the last few decades. Piece by piece, bit by bit, the American Character was worn away by lies, greed, and self-indulgence. It’s not about religion, but about moral character. Moral character is what built America and what has sustained her. Unheard of sentiments like: take responsibility for yourself, finish what you start, be tough but fair, take pride in your work, and always do your best. Now, America’s character is “relative,” “subjective” – A hand up has become a hand out. A nation of individuals has become a pool of conformists. A nation of free and creative thinkers and entrepreneurs has become a nation of clones who spout the party line eloquently and wait for the prompts.

It’s not in labels or party affiliation, but in character, integrity, honesty. THESE are what Americans, what WE THE PEOPLE seek. We’re done with compromise, with mediocrity, and mis-representation! We’re holding our elected officials to accountability! WE THE PEOPLE are NOT as dumb as the elected elite seem to think we are. WE THE PEOPLE will speak until we’re heard, because this is OUR country!

    Where Has America Gone?

What has happened to my America?

As a small child, I watched my dad start a new business. I was 2 when he bought his first store. All I knew at that time was I no longer had to ride in to the city with mom in the morning and again in the evening to take daddy to work. Mom, a wonderful, intelligent woman with a BS in Biology from Pitt in an era when most women didn’t go to college, let alone in a science field, laughed with my younger brother and I as we threw a sheet over a card table to create a fort. In her house-dress, she crawled into our fort with us to share some tea on rainy afternoons. She gladly became the “pitcher” as we got older and gathered the neighborhood kids to play kickball. She and dad went out two or three nights a week, to choir practice, a neighborhood bridge club, and a couples bowling league. One or both of our grammas (ingeniously called Ging ging B or W by moi) would babysit.

    Easter 1959

America, was a land where a man who was willing to work hard could save money to buy a home. Dad never had the chance to finish high school. His dad and brother died before he graduated which left him as sole supporter of his invalid mother and baby sister. So he did work hard, long hours. He added a store every few years until he had acquired 5. I was in high school by that time. He was home when I left for school. He was home for supper and long enough to help me with my math homework. He turned off my radio when he came home from work at about 1 am, and then he went into his office to count the day’s cash and prepare the deposit for the morning. At some point, my dad was given an honorary degree from what is now Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh for his business prowess.

America was a place where family meant fun time together in backyard picnics, family dinners, board games, or interactive TV shows like “Sing along with Mitch!” Amazingly enough, when I was small, motherhood was an honorable position. So honorable, in fact, that most mothers needed no career outside the home to bolster their identity, but rather they derived enormous satisfaction pouring out their life, their beliefs, their priorities in the nurture of their own children. I knew of no daycares … NONE! If a mom had to run to the Dr or a place where kids were not permitted, a neighbor watched the kids without charge. It was the neighborly thing to do. Similarly, if one became ill or suffered a loss, the “neighborhood” took care of them. Casseroles were brought. Children’s clothes were passed around the neighborhood. Neighbors also watched out for one another’s children and property long before there was a “Neighborhood Watch” organization. This was my America.

    High School innocence

I remember the early 60’s and the bomb shelter fear … the horrible scare with Soviet missiles in Cuba. Dad was not afraid. I vaguely remember the partial stocking of the basement pantry with canned goods and bottled water, just in case, but nothing changed at home. I remember the riots in LA and Chicago, the Black Panthers, the Flower Children, Haight Ashbury and those early images of Vietnam. These events seemed so foreign to my experience. Strange things came before my eyes, but I had no frame of reference, no way to file this new information. “Happy Days”, “Leave it to Beaver”, the “Nelsons”, “The Patty Duke Show” and “Father Knows Best” evolved into “M*A*S*H”, “WKRP in Cincinnati”, “All in the Family” and “Sanford and Son.” A sadness swept the nation (from my perspective), a sadness that was palpable.

My family was Presbyterian, sort of. I was actually baptized Methodist, confirmed Presbyterian, mentored by an Anglican priest in college and a Nazarene Bible teacher, befriended by Catholics, Unitarians, Jews, and atheists, and married by a Baptist Army Chaplain. This is America to me.

  • I was taught the notion of the American “melting pot” with neighbors from just about every imaginable European background. There were the McCutchean’s two generations out of Scotland. The Henrici’s with 5 daughters, the Midocks with a back yard ice-skating rink, the Amslers, the Dills, the Allens, Amicis. It was not a big deal. The Polumbo’s were “rich” because they had a NEW car. The Perez family talked funny, but they were really nice. America was different than other places because we could be different and still be friends.
  • I was taught to be polite to everyone and to respect people. I was taught to behave. I was taught not to lie or cheat. That when I did, I really only hurt myself.
  • I was taught to treat others the way I wanted them to treat me. To plant seeds of respect to reap respect. To plant seeds of kindness and it would come back to me in my time of need.
  • I was taught to respected every person equally – There really was such a thing a “color-blindness,” maybe not everywhere, but where I grew up, it existed. A person’s sexuality was a completely private thing and simply not an issue. I know how foreign this sounds, but … it was real once.
  • Where has THIS America gone?

  • I believe there are more people who care and want to help one another than there are those who only want to take.
  • I believe there are more people who believe in God than those who choose not to, but I also believe NEITHER side needs to shove their beliefs on the other.
  • I believe there are more people who understand responsibility and accountability than those who don’t.
  • I believe there are more people who live by a moral code than those who don’t know right from wrong, but those who don’t need instruction.
  • Well … if anyone actually reads all this, I’ll be amazed, but the writing of it has been therapeutic, a birthday gift to myself!

    Where has America gone?
