From a distance, I can hear the rumbles,
As the earth-ball quakes under the strain,
As the nature of man betrays its sorrowful ambition:
To be sovereign and powerful, to be God.
From a distance, I can hear the cries,
For ease, for comfort, for wealth;
No wisdom, No discerning the needs of Neighbors;
Only rest, relaxation, and recreation.
From a distance, I can hear Earth groan,
As her Leaders twist and turn the Truth
To secure and increase their own wealth and power,
Yet they call themselves “Public Servants!”
From a distance, I can hear the unrest,
As Nature recalls her wondrous Creator,
Yet bows in submission to the abused and the abuser,
Man: he could be so much more.
From a distance, I can hear a trumpet call;
A warning, a reminder, an alarm;
Search the scrolls, the history of man
And see his path of self-destruction, and turn.
From a distance, I can hear a mighty roar,
The roar of the eternal King,
Waiting, watching, working to restore
All that has been stolen & destroyed.
Have you been to the mall? Are your decorations up? Is your baking done? Did you get your Christmas or Hanukkah cards in the mail? How about all the Christmas music on the radio, tired of it yet?
Last weekend, I had to pick up some chocolate chips for my daughter. She wanted to make some fudge. I stopped at the local grocery store and went directly to the baking aisle. It was overwhelming!(I am NOT one who enjoys the art of shopping, so I am typically in and out within 15 minutes!) I headed down the baking aisle in search of a deal on what I needed, spotted the rascals on the left side of the aisle, and stopped momentarily to compare prices. A young woman with long black hair, glasses, and a scowl was behind me where I stopped. She looked up at me (and I’m only 5’5″) and with a sardonic smile said, “Yes, every time you stop, the whole line has to stop!”
Well, I only had stopped ONCE! I kind of looked at her in disbelief, and looked back at the shelf. When she didn’t make a move to circumvent me, I looked back at her and she told me to, “get f*’d!” I smiled politely and said, “same to you!”
As I finished my shopping, though, my heart broke for her and the thousands like her who have been totally engulfed by our secular, anti-goodness society. It’s not a new thing entirely, but godlessness has become a national past time in OUR time. Only recently, has it become socially acceptable to be selfish, self-centered, and unkind. It is everywhere now. (Watch drivers, if you have any doubt.) People think only of themselves, their agenda, their needs and are completely unaware? or unconcerned? with others. “Screw you, lady! You’re in MY way!”
The HEART of the matter is GOD! Many people, whether alone or surrounded by others, are lonely these days. GOD, whomever we understand Him to be, is relegated to a distant dark corner of our pseudo-sophisticated society only to be recognized as the source of some fringe lunatic. Darkness increases while those holding the Light remain well shielded by the protective bushel of their/our choosing, and we wonder why society is breaking down.
The attitude of this one young woman shocked my heart, my reality. She was not suffering from some obvious disease, but her heart is sick. Mine, too, struggles under the burden of perfection portrayed by TV and movies … the perfect Christmas or Hanukkah celebrations always show scores of happy family members laughing and embracing one another with tables loaded with boundless delicacies and truckloads of gifts for everyone. I don’t live there, do you?
But the dingy manger? THAT I can relate to! Our best laid plans sometimes fail.
The hardship of that journey to Bethlehem with Mary at 9 months pregnant? THAT I can relate to … discomfort is a big part of life!
Alone in a strange town, crowds of people milling around yet, no place just for them. THAT I can relate to! Surprises! Unexpected journeys!
Supplies insufficient to the task at hand? THAT I can relate to! Making due with what’s on hand is daily life, and it requires faith in something or Someone bigger than me!
At this point in time, the media (TV, movies, magazines, etc) sets our expectations for more than any of us realize. Today’s movies always show the various holidays … PERFECT! There may be a bit of a struggle to get there, but perfection always arrives. LIFE is not perfect! It is not orderly or predictable. It is our daily challenge to make order out of chaos.
The moral of this story? When the Christmas lights are unplugged, when the Hanukkah gifts are given, when the parties are over and the cookies are eaten, what is left? GOD is there in my emptiness and unfulfilled expectations, and He’s there in yours, too! He didn’t stay in that dingy manger, and the oil has still never run dry! He is not necessarily where we expect Him to be, that’s all. Though we have tried for centuries to package Him and present Him all neat and tidy, He reminds us constantly that HE is GOD, and we are not!
Look for HIM as you celebrate … or as you endure whatever hardships and discomfort is your life. He is THERE!
I read an article today about the children in a high school in Colorado reciting the Pledge in Arabic, and replacing “under God” with under Allah. It reminded me of the history of the Pledge, so I thought I’d remind us all.
“The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931). It was originally published in The Youth’s Companion on September 8, 1892. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.
In its original form it read:
“I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
In 1923, the words, “the Flag of the United States of America” were added. At this time it read:
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words “under God,” creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Bellamy’s daughter objected to this alteration. Today it reads:
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Section 4 of the Flag Code states:
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”, should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute.”
The original Bellamy salute, first described in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, who authored the original Pledge, began with a military salute, and after reciting the words “to the flag,” the arm was extended toward the flag.
At a signal from the Principal the pupils, in ordered ranks, hands to the side, face the Flag. Another signal is given; every pupil gives the flag the military salute — right hand lifted, palm downward, to a line with the forehead and close to it. Standing thus, all repeat together, slowly, “I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands; one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.” At the words, “to my Flag,” the right hand is extended gracefully, palm upward, toward the Flag, and remains in this gesture till the end of the affirmation; whereupon all hands immediately drop to the side. The Youth’s Companion, 1892
Shortly thereafter, the pledge was begun with the right hand over the heart, and after reciting “to the Flag,” the arm was extended toward the Flag, palm-down.
In World War II, the salute too much resembled the Nazi salute, so it was changed to keep the right hand over the heart throughout.”
The original pledge was designed as a Socialist tool, but it was also made to be adaptable to any nation. It may well be that we, as Americans, will have to lay claim to the version, the adaptation of the Pledge we want. As for me and my house, we will cling to our God and our guns and the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America under God. As a Vet, my oath never expired, so that, too, continues to be my oath! It is up to us, the People of this nation to DEFINE the nation we want.
A place in history, of time untolled,
A purpose and plan struggled against the mold,
Some strangers from across the sea,
Set out knowing nothing at all of me.
Looking through the stars, a stirring they felt,
On my distant shores, gratefully they knelt.
A firm foundation, their hearts to heaven soared,
With a twinkle in their eye and a future reward.
A city on hill, a new world of freedom,
A people self-governed, contrary to a kingdom.
That was the plan; that was the dream,
To rule over themselves without selfish scheme.
Alas, it now seems that some devilish machine
Has usurped the plan and banished the dream,
No longer this people willing to behave well,
Sold their will and devotion to a vile cartel.
Yet, off in the distance, muffled by noise,
Still Liberty’s voice, it calls with poise,
“Stand up and be counted, all you who’d be free,
The time has come to support and defend me!”
“Too busy,” you say, to get involved;
“Too much corruption, and lies, and scandals unresolved!”
Ah, but who allowed that to happen,” Liberty dares to inquire,
“Self-governing was the call, not sit back and retire!”
This ‘self-governing’ people has stopped governing altogether,
Stopped trying to improve, stopped reaching higher.
It’s so much easier to just sit and collect a check,
“Leave the heavy lifting to others while I enjoy my new deck!”
But the Land of the Free simply will not survive,
If mediocrity and laziness overpower our drive,
To conquer all obstacles, to rise to every challenge,
To grow up, to face up, and stand in the balance!
So, let’s have a conversation, America. We’re in the middle of a big fight in the USA,and it concerns the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution, which reads as above. Most of us realize our President sees our Constitution as a “living” i.e. evolving document. An overwhelming majority of Americans, however, do not see it that way, but as a solid, absolute foundation upon which our nation is built. Problem is, those in agreement with President include 99.9% (conservative estimate) of all journalists/media outlets and celebrities with big mouths and plenty of camera time.
The administration has a history of orchestrating events and “milking” tragedies for his political agenda. Remember, “Fast & Furious?” Remember the Aurora shootings? While I will not go so far as to accuse the President of arranging the “Sandy Hook massacre,” he is most assuredly milking it to further is dream (and goal) of a gun-free America. He has, in fact, rearranged the entire scenario, tampered with evidence, to fit his agenda.
Remember the horror of the “Breaking news” that morning? I do! The initial news report said Lanza used 2 handguns in the event and that an AR-15 “Bushmaster” was found in the shooter’s car. Just 2 days later, that scenario had been rearranged saying the AR-15 was found beside the victim’s body. It is now believed, they say, that the Bushmaster was the primary weapon used in the tragedy. Well … which is it? The result of this obvious and blatant manipulation of the facts is a media BLITZ attack on our 2nd Amendment rights to “keep and bear arms.”
Here’s one with a wood grain stock. Looks more like a hunting weapon, right?
This is a “breast cancer” support weapon with a sponsored logo!
Just for the sake or argument, the same weapon found initially in the shooter’s car in Newtown, Connecticut can look ominous painted black, but it can also be painted other ways to make it appear less threatening. Bottom line is that ALL firearms are assault weapons, and the definition used in legislation is solely at the discretion of the author of the bill. How reasonable is it, though, for someone like Senator Feinstein to hold a concealed carry permit & carry her gun while she proposes a ban on the rest of the American people?
Similarly, there have been several news items posted in recent weeks extolling the benefits of an armed population.
There are plenty of statistics that demonstrate many other items much more dangerous that any type of firearm. Still, the administration is locked and loaded toward the disarming of the American people in open and obvious contradiction to the US Constitution. Shall we put a ban on tobacco products or re-institute “Prohibition?” Shall we ban automobiles? Obviously, the answer is NO!
This adminstration is working overtime to install a”dumbed down” approach to life in America. President Obama believes, and he wants US to believe the American people are not smart enough to rule ourselves, even though we have done so successfully for more than 200 years. This is the whole “nanny state” mentality that he is encouraging in his “food stamps” push toward Seniors, repeated extensions for unemployment, and his lack of success in job creation. He doesn’t WANT to create jobs, America! He isn’t even trying to create jobs. We aren’t responsible enough to own and operate firearms, so he must take them from us one way or another.
The US Constitution contradicts this policy vehemently, and so do the majority of American citizens – both Democrat and Republican! So … TAKE A STAND!
Just for the sake of argument, though, what do you think of the ideas in this graphic? Cars are regulated by state governments, according to state laws and oversight. Might firearms be managed likewise? Would it be an infringement of our 2nd Amendment rights to regulate firearms in this way? You tell me! Let’s have a REAL DISCUSSION here, America!
OK, well … I’m enjoying a nice long weekend, mostly with family, but it seems I have some “time off” to attend my personal “stuff!” My friend “Citizen Tom” nominated me for this lovely – award/challenge! Thanks Tom!
What to do? Well, here are the rules.
1. Each person tagged must post 11 things about themselves.
2. They must also answer the 11 questions the “tagger” has set for them.
3. They must create 11 more questions to ask bloggers they have decided to tag.
4. They must then choose 11 bloggers and tag them in their post.
5. These “lucky” bloggers must then be told.
6. No tag backs.
Here are the questions for the people I was tagged by TOM to answer. Since this is a blog that mixes politics and religion I will alternate between the two. When you answer, feel free to elaborate.
What is your favorite Bible story?
hahaha Well, right off the bat, my hackles go up at the phrasing of this question! (I’m such a “heretic!”) There are parables in the Bible, and there are illustrations of Biblical principles but I choose not to call them stories because, to many, that gives them less importance! Anyway … My favorite would have to be, though it is a difficult choice, the advent of the Birth of Christ. From the conception of John the Baptist through the lamentations in the streets for the slaying of two year old babies it is absolutely fascinating to see the Sovereign Provision of God, how the prophecies of the Old Covenant are fulfilled to the letter …
Who is your favorite president?
George Washington! Such a principled man, a man of extreme inner strength of character – strong enough to withstand the cry of the people to make him King! It amazes me and frustrates me because we see few such men or women in “public service” today.
What is your favorite book in the Bible?
This changes from time to time, but I’d have to say currently it is Psalms. There is a Psalm to fit EVERY human need, condition, and emotion, and it’s a comfort to know that David was a “man after God’s own heart” even though he was a horrible father, and murderer, an adulterer, but he had a repentant, “teachable” heart.
What is your favorite person in history? Does not have to be a political leader.
Well … after some thought, the one(s) I admire most throughout history are the ones excluded from the hsitory books except by generalizations. The feudal farmers, the early American settlers, the tribal peoples around the world, those who have endured grave oppression, those who have sacrificed personally for the good of others … The nameless heroes throughout time. His name is … the OTHER!
Which of parables that Jesus told has had the most significance in your life?
The Parable of the Bags of Gold (Mt 25: 14-30) – to whom much is given, much is expected (and I’m not talking taxes here!!)
Which character in the Bible do you identify with the most?
DAVID! lol Imperfect, sinner yet called “a man after God’s own heart!” I want to be that … A woman after God’s own heart!
Have you read a book about politics?
Yes, currently making my way through a few: the The 5000 Year Leap, by W. Cleon Skousen; Miracles of the American Revolution, by Larkin Spivey; and the political thriller, Black List, by Brad Thor.
Have you read a book about religion?
Yes, but interestingly, the books I have read on “religion” are also books with a political flavor, as well. As listed above, The Celtic Crusades trilogy, and The Dragon King Saga (fiction), by Stephen R. Lawhead; and Miracles of the American Revolution, by Larkin Spivey
If you answered “yes” to question 8, please name the book and the author. SEE #8! lol
If you answered “yes” to question 9, please name the book and the author. SEE #9! 🙂
The Parable of the Bags of Gold: Mt 25:14 – 30
Here are the blogs I tagged. Why did I pick these blogs? Why did I pick you? Your blog discusses either (or both) politics and religion. I enjoy reading your posts, and I believe others will enjoy reading them, too! 🙂 I hope you do not find this too annoying or tedious!
Should you choose to accept this mission, here are your 11 questions:
1. Where is your birthplace?
2. Have you traveled outside the USA? Where & why?
3. What is your favorite genre of music? Artist?
4. Do you have a personal HERO? Who & why? or Why not?
5. Glass half-full or half empty? Why?
6. What motivates you to get up in the morning?
7. Do you have a favorite novel or film? Title & author/director
8. Have you enjoyed any affiliation with the US Military?
9. Beverage of choice?
10. Favorite non-computer activity
11. On a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being Off-the-charts, how do you rate your passion for the USA?
You lucky chosen ones … must answer these questions to the best of your ability. This post will NOT self-destruct, but YOU might if you refuse to participate! 😉
Harvard students were investigated for cheating on a final test on a course called Introduction to Congress. The school is proud. They’d only taken one semester of a course on Congress and already they’re doing graduate work in adultery and voter fraud.
The White House reports a U.S. predator drone killed al-Qaeda’s second-in-command with a missile strike in Yemen. He’s the sixth al-Qaeda second-in-command the U.S. has killed. It’s a long American tradition to disrespect anybody who’s vice president.
President Obama told CBS Egypt was not an enemy but mistakenly added that Egypt is no longer an ally. It was an honest mistake, Whenever Barack Obama thinks of allies he thinks of the media and whoever’s playing against the Packers this week.
President Obama skipped a CIA briefing Monday for a Miami radio interview with the deejay, Pimp with the Limp. No problem. The CIA will start feeding the classified briefing directly to the Pimp with the Limp, then he can pass it on to Obama during the commercial breaks.
Barack Obama will attend a fundraiser held by actor Jonathan Goldsmith, who plays The Most Interesting Man in the World on Dos Equis beer commercials. All the ads have to be re-shot. Now he says he doesn’t always drink, but when he does, he drinks the Kool-Aid.
The International Cycling Union proposed offering pardons to bicyclists who’ll come forward and admit they once did drugs. The offer of the pardon was extremely popular. The next day two hundred million Americans came forward claiming to have been bicyclists.
The Texas legislature sent out letters to voters asking them to confirm that they are alive in order to clean up voter rolls. It’s a win-win. Anyone who writes them back and says they are dead loses their right to vote, but it does get the IRS off their backs.
The Justice Department sued a California bank for refusing to make loans to people with no money. The bank agreed to pay nine hundred grand to community groups. The cash can be used for anything except to teach people to make their payments on time.
U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice claimed the attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya was a spontaneous reaction to a video. The protesters just happened to be carrying their rocket launchers on September 11th when they felt insulted over a video released on YouTube in June. That’s what the president told Rice, and as we know, rice goes with anything.
The Obama administration paid a PR firm a million dollars to lobby Hollywood TV shows to feature ObamaCare in their scripts. Hollywood is spooked about it. Andy Griffith did a TV commercial for ObamaCare and he’ll never work in show business again.
The “Shadow Party” is a term originally devised by journalists to describe “527” political committees promoting Democratic Party agendas. It is here used more specifically to refer to the network of non-profit activist groups organized by George Soros and others to mobilize resources — money, get-out-the-vote drives, campaign advertising and policy initiatives — to elect Democratic candidates and guide the Democratic Party towards the left. The Internet fund-raising operation MoveOn.org is a key component. The Shadow Party in this sense was conceived and organized principally by Soros, Hillary Clinton and Harold Ickes. Its efforts are amplified by, and coordinated with, key government unions and the activist groups associated with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). The key organizers of these groups are veterans of the Sixties left. The individuals and organizations listed on this page are some of the major players, past and present, in the Shadow Party. For a comprehensive discussion of the Shadow Party, its constituent members, and its agendas and activities, click here.
A month later …
Part 1: Origins
“My family is more important to me than my party,” declared Senator Zell Miller, a Georgia Democrat, as he spoke from the podium of the Republican National Convention on September 1. “There is but one man to whom I am willing to entrust their future and that man’s name is George Bush.” [1]
Many Democrats howled in outrage at Miller’s “betrayal” – former President Jimmy Carter in particular. In an angry personal letter to the Georgia senator, Carter accused Miller of “unprecedented disloyalty” and declared, “You have betrayed our trust. [I]t’s quite possible that your rabid speech damaged our party…”
But nothing Miller said could possibly have damaged the Democratic Party more than its own leaders had done in making the war in Iraq a partisan issue and embracing the anti-war cause. In his anger, Carter had mistaken the symptom for the disease. Long before Zell Miller’s démarche, Ronald Reagan — a Roosevelt Democrat who re-registered as a Republican in 1962 — followed a similar course, explaining, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party; the Democratic Party left me.”[3]
The leftward drift of the Democratic Party accelerated through the Vietnam years, spurred by the anti-war candidacies of Bobby Kennedy, Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern. When the congressional Democrats pulled the plug on aid to our allies in southeast Asia in the 1970s, a contingent of anti-Communist “Scoop” Jackson Democrats crossed the aisle in protest and became Republicans – an act for which they were labeled “neo-conservatives.” Rank-and-file Democrats staged a silent but even more devastating walk-out after four years of Jimmy Carter’s “blame America” Administration, casting their ballots by the millions for the Gipper.
The Democrats’ current presidential aspirant John Kerry has ambitiously modeled his political career after John F. Kennedy’s. Yet their politics bear little resemblance. If Kennedy were alive today, Democrats would condemn his sweeping capital gains tax cuts as a sop to the rich. His militant anti-Communism would evoke charges of right-wing “paranoia.” And the vow he made in his inaugural address to confront tyranny anywhere in the world would win him the label of “neo-conservative” imperialist among today’s Democrats. Instead of calling on Americans to “support any friend” and “oppose any foe” — as Kennedy did in his famous address – many Democrats are busy sabotaging our war effort in Iraq, with speeches as strident as any that emanated from the New Left during the Vietnam era.
The devolution of the Democrats from the Cold War party of Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy to the progressive party of Edward Kennedy and John F. Kerry has long been in progress, and is not quite complete. But the Democrats’ final transformation into a party of the left in the European mode may not be far off. Barely noticed by political observers, an activist juggernaut has seized control of the party’s national electoral apparatus, organized, financed and directed by the left.
This party within the party has no official name, but some journalists and commentators have begun referring to it as the Shadow Party, a term that we will use as well. It denotes a network of non-profit groups presently raising hundreds of millions of dollars for deployment on the campaign battlefield. This money pays for advertising, get-out-the-vote-drives, opposition research, dirty tricks and virtually every aspect of a modern electoral campaign. But it does so through independent groups with no formal connection to the Democratic Party.
Follow the Money
The Shadow Party emerged from the dense thicket of campaign finance reforms engineered by Senators John McCain and Russ Feingold. Thanks to the soft-money ban enacted by the McCain-Feingold Act of March 27, 2002, the Democratic Party entered the current election cycle hard pressed to raise enough money legally to undertake a winning campaign. This created an imperative that found its inevitable loophole (as critics of McCain-Feingold always warned it would). Consequently, the driving force in the political war against George Bush is now a group of billionaires and millionaires operating through the veiled structures of the Shadow Party.
Under McCain-Feingold, political parties and candidates can only accept “hard money” contributions – that is, contributions given to a specific political party for a specific political campaign. Such contributions must be reported to the Federal Election Commission, and are limited to a $2,000 maximum per donor for each candidate, or $5,000 per donor if they are paid to a federally registered political action committee (PAC). Historically, Republicans have enjoyed a 2-1 advantage over Democrats in raising hard-money contributions from individual donors. Democrats have relied much more heavily on soft-money contributions from large institutions such as unions … (more)
The Soros Factor
According to conventional wisdom the Shadow Party began taking form shortly after March 27, 2002 – the date President Bush signed the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act, popularly known as McCain-Feingold. However, the Shadow Party’s earliest origins predate the Reform Act by many years. The principal mover behind the Shadow Party is Wall Street billionaire and leftwinger George Soros. A New York hedge fund manager, global investment banker and currency trader, Soros has a personal net worth in the $7 billion range. Under his aegis, the Shadow Party has created a new power base for the left, independent of the mainstream party apparatus – a leverage point from which to tilt the party in an ever-more-radical direction.
Only Soros knows when he first conceived the idea of forming this network. However, clear hints of his intentions began to appear as early as the 2000 election. By that time, Soros had already baffled friend and foe alike with his increasingly strident attacks on capitalism – the very system which had elevated him from a penniless Hungarian refugee to one of the world’s wealthiest men. In his 1998 book The Crisis of Global Capitalism, Soros predicted an imminent collapse of the global financial system. Financiers like himself were largely to blame, he wrote, for they had allowed greed to overwhelm their humanity. “The (global capitalist) system is deeply flawed,” wrote Soros. “As long as capitalism remains triumphant, the pursuit of money overrides all other social considerations.” [6]
Soros offered no coherent solution to the problem. He simply continued his long-established pattern of pouring money into a hodge-podge of fashionable leftwing causes, such as promoting mass immigration into the United States; financing anti-gun lawsuits and lobbyists; demanding voting rights for felons; seeking the abolition of capital punishment; exacerbating Palestinian unrest; promoting abortion; feminism; population control; gay liberation; euthanasia; radical theories of education; marijuana legalization and global government.
So where does all this lead? I don’t have the answers, but I’m not done yet! Whatever happens, our daily lives will continue much as they are today, most likely. We will go to work, have time with family and friends, and take time to write about it one place or another! It’s good, I believe, to chew on these things, but in the long run, none of us knows if life will change here in these United States, and if so, how much? Perspective is a key element in survival!
A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:
‘Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together.’
So the doctor said: ‘Ok and what do you want me to do?’
She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’
She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.
Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.’
The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child!’
‘I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’
The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.
He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb. The crime is the same!
LIKE, if you agree, and share it!
Together we can help save precious lives!
Love says, ‘I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.’ Abortion says, ‘I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.’
