“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” The Declaration of Independence (emphasis BBB)

Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God (LONANG is an acronym for the Laws of Nature and (of) Nature’s God)

One of the exemplary phrases in the founding documents of the United States of America establishes the order necessary for civil society to exist and flourish. We need to apprehend this understanding once again if we’re to regain our Liberty and sustain it for our posterity.

Our Founders apprehended the Source of Order and the Source of Liberty to be one and the same, as witnessed in the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. “There is no infallible Oracle to say which declaration or interpretation of God’s law is authentic. There is, however, evidence which provides a sufficient indication of the general requirements and prohibitions of God’s law. These expressions provide reliable standards of right and wrong. The first expression of law is God’s physical creation – the universe. A second expression resides within all people, namely, conscience and reason. A third expression of God’s law is found in His written revelation, the Bible. These are concurrent expressions of God’s law which we may consider in our effort to adequately determine what the law prohibits, allows and commands.”

Anyone who has studied physics knows there are certain laws of the physical world that are concrete. The Law of gravity, for example, says what goes up must come down, or every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Another example is the Law of Reciprocity: what you sow, you will reap. If an elm tree is planted, an orchid will not grow in its place.

The Founders understood the power and authority in the Laws of Nature and they recognized – each of them – the Source in many different ways, but to each, the Source was a Supreme Providential Designer. Whatever else they believed concerning God, that much they unanimously agreed upon as declared in the opening words of the Declaration. They also accepted that for any civil or political authority to succeed, it must cooperate with these same Laws of Nature. Any laws created in contradiction would mean decay.

Our Founders, we must realize, had all studied many political theories, and philosophical and scientific thinkers. One of the most prominent, was Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 B.C.) Cicero defines Natural Law as “true law.”

“True law” is right reason in agreement with Nature; it is of universal application, unchanging and everlasting; it summons to duty by its commands, and averts from wrongdoing by its prohibitions…. It is a sin to try to alter this law, nor is it allowable to repeal any part of it, and it is impossible to abolish it entirely. We cannot be freed from its obligations by senate or people, and we need not look outside ourselves for an expounder or interpreter of it. And there will not be different laws at Rome and at Athens, or different laws now and in the future, but one eternal and unchangeable law will be valid for all nations and all times, and there will one master and ruler, that is, God, over us all, for he is the author of this law, its promulgator, and its enforcing judge. Whoever is disobedient is fleeing from himself and denying his human nature, and by reason of this very fact he will suffer the worst punishment.” (Marcus Tullius Cicero, Great Political Thinkers, p. 133.)

The Law of Nature or Nature’s God is eternal in its basic goodness; it is universal in its application. It is a code of “right reason” from the Creator himself. It cannot be altered. It cannot be repealed. It cannot be abandoned by legislators or the people themselves even though they may pretend to do so. In Natural Law we are dealing with factors of absolute reality. This is Principle 1 – The only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law.

Natural law is God’s law. There are certain laws which govern the entire universe, and just as Thomas Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence, there are laws which govern in the affairs of men which are “the laws of nature and of nature’s God.”

Where do you suppose America is today in relationship to the Natural Law or nature’s God?

Personal Note: I admit to experiencing some frustration with the nastiness on BOTH sides of this campaign. I cannot condone it or participate in it. I believe the morality our Founders clung to revered the dignity of each person as a creation of God whether there was political agreement or not. It’s a higher road than most Americans have seen for some time. For the most part, Gov Romney is demonstrating a “gentlemanly” attitude to his opponent, but many Americans are choosing to fall into the gutter currently occupied by the WH and many supporters on his side. We cannot win that way.

The only way to reclaim our nation is to open the doors to God again and recognize Him as our Providential Founder and Sustainer through the ages, until His purpose is complete. We must re-establish the dignity of each person by making work available and required for gov’t asst, but that’s farther into the issues than I intended to go.

Well, we all know that Mitt Romney is a gentleman. Now we also know that Mitt has a keen grasp of the Southern-style, genteel insult, which tends to leave its victim so utterly confused that he simply cannot defend himself.
Oh yes, darlin’. Mitt went there.

Speaking at LeClaire Manufacturing in Bettendorf, Iowa yesterday, Governor Romney delivered the ultimate Southernese insult to his opponent. (Video link here.)

“It is free men and women that drive our economy. Freedom is what makes America work. And President Obama, bless his heart, has tried to substitute government for free people-and it has not worked, and it will never work[.]” (Emphasis mine.)

Oh my.

For anyone outside the South, who may need an accurate translation, allow me to enlighten you.

The phrase “bless your heart” is known throughout the South as the worst, most insulting, most buried-under-sweet-sounding-rhetorical-sugar phrase possible. What we mean, when we say it, is that the object of our pronouncement could not be more the imbecile if he were working hard at the task.

This person is so completely hopeless that only God can come to his rescue with protective blessings. Otherwise, the poor fool is doomed to be a victim of his never-ending shots at his own two feet.

But because the insult is delivered in an offhand or sweet-sounding tone, it creates a state of disabling confusion in its victim.

In this particular instance, Mitt Romney delivered one of the most brilliant rhetorical juxtapositions I’ve ever witnessed: his own love of individual liberty versus Obama’s love of big government. Romney proclaimed his own unwavering fealty for American freedom, inserted the “bless his heart” insult, and then, without missing a beat, came down with the hammer that nails Barack Obama to a T: “he has tried to substitute government for free people — and it has not worked, and it will never work.” (Emphasis mine.)

In one crystal-clear moment, Mitt Romney has successfully and brilliantly captured the theme of this election: American liberty versus freedom-stifling big government. And Romney aimed his verbal thrust at the hearts of both pragmatists and idealistic patriots in one fell swoop. Pragmatists want what works best; Obama’s big-government vision hasn’t worked and never will. Life or Death?

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you [America],
that I have set before you life and death,

therefore choose life,
that both you and your descendants may live;”

The choice we, as Americans, have before us is really this simple. It is the age old choice between LIFE and DEATH. It is much bigger than abortion rights, but is contained in the issue of abortion just like it is contained in how the US faces Islam, or how the US deals with its current debt & deficit crises.

An individual who consistently supports LIFE, by a genuine respect and wonder for LIFE, will seek out opportunities to build life, to improve the overall long-term quality of life, and see each and every life as valuable as the next and display this in every facet of personal life.

On the contrary, an individual who has no genuine respect for LIFE, who believes some people deserve to live while others do not, who believes certain mental or physical deficiencies may disqualify an individual from the right to life will make specific distinctions between people, between groups of people usually for no reason other than to promote self.

I put before you the imperfect choice in this election contain this very choice:

LIFE vs DEATH.

• On January 22, 2011, the 38th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion on demand, President Obama issued an official statement heralding Roe as an affirmation of “reproductive freedom,” and pledging, “I am committed to protecting this constitutional right.”
• Mitt Romney’s conversion to the pro-life position should be something celebrated, not something viewed with scorn or skepticism among pro-life advocates. The goal of the pro-life movement is to get all elected officials to support protective laws for unborn children. In the future, what politician would want to come to our side if we’re going to constantly question their authenticity? President Reagan never faced the same scrutiny.

But if you think about how each of these men deals with and talks about LIFE, their views on the other major issues facing our nation become painfully clear.

• Because President Obama does not value LIFE as the ultimate gift of God, even in its most basic choice, he does not comprehend human dignity and the correlation between WORK and HUMAN VALUE. This is how he can freely take from the productive half of the population and give it to the non-productive half with no strings, no work element, no pay-backs.
• On the contrary, Mitt Romney, because of his innate respect for the value of life, made a career of rescuing failing businesses. In spite of the ads to the contrary, Romney chose FAILING endeavors, like the 2002 Olympics – sinking ships – and called into play all of her resources, both public and private, in his attempts to rescue them. He was not always successful, but more often than not, he was able to turn the sinking ships around and make of them profitable organizations. And, yes, he reaped a profit.

Personal freedom

• Personal freedom, as our Founders decreed in all of the Founding documents, issues from Providence, from God. Romney and Ryan both whole-heartedly believe this.
• President Obama and the Democratic leadership believe freedom is a collective goal, rather than personal, and is obtained by government control of all relevant variables.

US CONSTITUTION

• “Under Obamacare, an even playing field doesn’t exist for businesses. And President Obama must have recognized that, because he ordered his Health and Human Services Secretary to provide waivers from the healthcare overhaul. Unions, universities and restaurants in Nancy Pelosi?s district received waivers so that they didn?t have to comply with the law.”
• Mitt Romney‘s view of the Constitution is straightforward: its words have meaning. The founding generation adopted a written constitution for a reason. They intended to limit the powers of government according to enduring principles.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

President Obama believes in the Socialist platform of “fair distribution.” The central tenet of his platform is to raise taxes on the “rich” – a purposely ambiguous term – to give to the “poor” – an equally ambiguous term, effectually mandating what he wants to call “charitable giving” as a government task. This not only negates the personal responsibility element of giving, but it also, frankly, removes the CHOICE! Government monies go to an extremely wide variety of organizations and entities, many of which – like Planned Parenthood – are NOT my personal choice to receive MY donation. Perhaps the most telling deed of Obama was his dismantling of Clinton’s welfare reform by removing the work requirement.

Mitt Romney, like most people of faith, understands the personal mandate of faith for believers to help the poor. Last January, the personal numbers were released for both President Obama and Romney concerning their personal charitable donations.

• In the current Presidential election, President Obama is running as Democrat, but operating very closely to a monarch or king, ruling over a people and believing he knows best how to take care of us.
• On the other side is Mitt Romney. While not a true Conservative (as defined below,) he is seriously more conservative than President Obama, and supports the individual’s right to choose how to live and solve problems.

There are other issues concerning America and the American people, but i’ll leave your application to you. The bottom line remains, the choice before us is LIFE vs DEATH. What will be the future of America?

• LIBERALS – believe in government action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all. It is the duty of the government to alleviate social ills and to protect civil liberties and individual and human rights. Believe the role of the government should be to guarantee that no one is in need.

  Liberal policies generally emphasize the need for the government to solve problems.

• CONSERVATIVES – believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defense. Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.

  Conservative policies generally emphasize empowerment of the individual to solve problems.

Politics of Racial Division: Hillary and Obama Ignoring Genocide against Whites

Hillary Clinton, the liberal darling of the left — and lately touted as the replacement for our “gaffe-prone” vice president, Joe Biden — has certainly proven herself to be a team player on Obama’s and the Democrats’ policy of division and opportunism in all things racial. She has just completed a trip to South Africa, where she discussed numerous issues with Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, South African minister of international relations and cooperation. The two politicians issued a joint statement for strategic dialog.

Here is a partial list of the strategic initiatives they agreed to:

• the signing of a U.S. $2 billion declaration of intent between the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. and South Africa’s Industrial Development Corporation to provide credit guarantees to stimulate development of South Africa’s renewable energy sector;
• the establishment of a Global Disease Detection Center in South Africa, co-directed by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and South Africa’s National Institute for Communicable Diseases;
• a R5.2 million (U.S. $650,000) USAID program for judicial management and leadership program to support South African combating sexual and gender-based violence and build upon best practices that can be shared with other countries in the region …

You get the idea about what this statement and trip were all about: building ties in a troubled world by reaching out to our global neighbors. What was conspicuously absent was any statement from Hillary or Obama on the atrocities being committed against the Afrikaners in the region. Genocide Watch, an international alliance to end genocide, chronicles the crimes against the Boers by a member organization of the ANC (South Africa’s ruling party in power), and officials of the South African government are prompting Genocide Watch to place South Africa alternately between stage 5 (“polarization”) and stage 6 (“preparation”) of their genocide scale.

Since 1994, the Boers have been subject to random killings, rapes, and property crimes by members of the Youth League of the ANC and others. Here is an excerpt from their statement by Genocide Watch:

Over 3000 white farmers have been murdered since 1994. The South African police have not made investigation and prosecution of these farm murders a priority, dismissing them as crimes by common criminals. The government has disbanded the commando units of white farmers that once protected their farms, and has passed laws to confiscate the farmers’ weapons. Disarmament of a targeted group is one of the surest early warning signs of future genocidal killings.

My personal favorite discussion point between Hillary and South Africa is the two-billion-dollar credit guarantees for renewable energy. Good to know her priorities are straight in elevating a decidedly leftist green international agenda above egregious human rights violations.

When we have such tyranny and genocide happening in South Africa and Hillary is discussing “green energy,” we certainly know where Obama’s regime is on this issue: namely, tacit approval. A search of the State Departments website did not produce any condemnation for these acts or atrocities.

For instance, this video should curdle the blood of anyone, much less one from a “black” racial heritage, like Obama. In short, the president of South Africa is singing a song in January 2012 that talks about exterminating the Boers from South Africa. One of the most telling lines in the song is “the cabinet will shoot them with the machine gun.” I hate to break it to Hillary, but when the president of South Africa implicates his own Cabinet in plans for mass extermination, this government is organized to commit genocide.

And all Hillary can find to talk about is green energy?

Even worse, the Obama regime has clearly turned an official blind eye to such slaughter in the form of the recently renamed “fact sheets” on the State Department’s website on South Africa. These web pages make no mention of the Boers’ plight — another sign of tacit approval. > > > READ MORE
