What happens if you make a film that is “cautiously sympathetic” to terrorists?

It would be nominated for an Oscar, of course! Actually, I’m quite interested in seeing the Oscar nominated “If A Tree Falls”, the story of the Earth Liberation Front–a domestic eco-terrorist group. The New York Times said it was “cautiously sympathetic” to their cause, which is both unsurprising and likely an understatement. Still, it looks pretty interesting.

It does sort of make you wonder though. Would anything “sympathetic” be said about a conservative group that caused millions of dollars of damage, scared the hell out of good people, and said half the stuff you hear in this trailer? Hmmmmmm…I sort of doubt it. MORE HERE
