BOTH sides of the aisle have a history of flying above the Law and below the moral radar. Each side has their own banter, but the 2010 election began a turn … There is a rumble, a deep rumble as one by one, AMERICANS – WE THE PEOPLE are awakening. We look around and barely recognize our America. The rumble of dissent is growing. The rumble of Patriotism is rising. The rumble from the “home of the brave and the land of the free” can be heard in the distance, swelling in volume and intensity. Neither left, nor right, Liberal nor conservative, Democrat or Republican … but AMERICANS are beginning to see, to hear, to smell a rat that is stinking up the whole nation with poisonous words designed to terrorize and turn American against American.
Divided we fall; United, we Stand!
“The book, entitled “American Social Diseases,” highlights problems such as crime and drug use, and a “spiritual and moral crisis.” The book says the U.S. suffers from a “spiritual deficit” and faces “moral extinction.” It also cites “excessive sexual indulgence” as a problem.”
“Although some observers whine and gnash their teeth about how this [“Strategic defaults”–walking away from your mortgage] symbolizes the decline and fall of American morality, it’s what corporate borrowers have been doing forever, so it’s about time we eliminated the double-standard. (It’s also the way your bank views you–as a business transaction–so don’t romanticize it as an Indian blood-promise.)” READ MORE
Montana Bear Tragedy is about what happens to wildlife, in this case a bear, when visitors do not pay attention to the signs forbidding feeding the bears. CONTINUE READING
“Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Harry Truman could only dream of the kind of sophisticated and cosmopolitan understanding that folks in Peoria have now compared to the old days … By contrast, we have never had an Establishment that was so ill-equipped to lead. It is the Establishment, not the people, that is falling down on the job.” CONTINUE READING
WE THE PEOPLE need to retrace our steps. We need to find our “center,” our “CHARACTER.” We allowed it to slip away, not just in recent months, but over the last few decades. Piece by piece, bit by bit, the American Character was worn away by lies, greed, and self-indulgence. It’s not about religion, but about moral character. Moral character is what built America and what has sustained her. Unheard of sentiments like: take responsibility for yourself, finish what you start, be tough but fair, take pride in your work, and always do your best. Now, America’s character is “relative,” “subjective” – A hand up has become a hand out. A nation of individuals has become a pool of conformists. A nation of free and creative thinkers and entrepreneurs has become a nation of clones who spout the party line eloquently and wait for the prompts.
It’s not in labels or party affiliation, but in character, integrity, honesty. THESE are what Americans, what WE THE PEOPLE seek. We’re done with compromise, with mediocrity, and mis-representation! We’re holding our elected officials to accountability! WE THE PEOPLE are NOT as dumb as the elected elite seem to think we are. WE THE PEOPLE will speak until we’re heard, because this is OUR country!
Well written and well stated. The libtards are leading and bullying our nation down the wrong path and we need to take our country back.
Blessings on you and yours

As always, excellent post. Americans of all faiths, colors and creeds; with it’s diversity, need to come together, and find that moral center again. Years ago, there was room for 2 political parties and there will be room for more again.
Americans used to take responsibility for themselves. They didn’t need-OR WANT TO BE BAILED OUT. Now, the more someone else can do for the better. I question whether or not: If today’s Americans were the American’s who fought World War II, would we have prevailed in WWI, WII or Korea? The moon? We have so much potential that we don’t need a milquetoast leader to ask nothing of us.
We need a Ronald Regan (Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this will) or John Kennedy kind or president who says to “ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU; ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY. President Obama is waiting to the country to do something for him, he’s playing the political game of “staring down who blinks first; that’s bully, NOT ADULT, behavior.
There is too much of an entitlement mentality going around. Who are these lenders that let people stay in their homes without paying for them? No, I don’t side with financial institutions necesarily, but when you sign onto a mortgage or a car payment you’ve signed a contract and you are obligated to pay for that possession. If you can’t pay, sell or work out a short sale or new payment plan, then the lender has every right to repossess the home or auto. Don’t accuse me of not knowing how it is–I’ve waliked in those shoes. My husband was without work for over 2 years–we pulled every rabbit out of every hat we could find to make our payments until finally we got a buyer for our home and my husband found a new job which resulted in a move 1,000 miles away. But you do what you have to do. You perservere. If we had run out of “rabbits” and time, we could have lost our home. It would have been a bitter pill, but we would have walked away with our heads held high, knowing we didn’t cheat.
We do need another Reagan. We also need folks to stand up for themselves, take care of themselves and not rely on the government at every turn.
WELCOME! Exactly! Since when is government dependence fashionable??? Since the birth of this great nation, self-reliance and independent thinking have been the roots and guts of our success. We need to re-discover them … ASAP!
Thanks for coming by to comment!
“Since when is government dependence fashionable??? ”
To me, receiving Social Security for Disability is hardly fashionable and it took me FOREVER to apply for benefits. After all, though would mean I’m ‘on the ‘dole’ and wanted a free lunch.
From the people I know, relying on an entitlement program is an ego blow, a kidney punch. When I’m older, being on Social Security will be more acceptable, but I shirk and lower my head when asked where I work. I’m ashamed and feel guilty. If I could work, i would in a heartbeat!
Annie, YOU are what SS is for! YOU and others like you that have to battle REAL LIFE issues of pain and other physical or mental limitations are who DESERVES what little help can be given. It is those who choose NOT to work, though they are quite able, that are sucking the nation dry and turning us into a welfare nation! PLEASE … do not feel guilty! Your fellow Americans quite understand and only regret your suffering. No need for you to be defensive. 🙂
