they would demand term limits on congressmen and women. I think that is the only way to cure career policians whose only interest is enriching themselves and not doing the work of the people.
blessings on you and yours

Agreed! At least an excellent place to start! 🙂 Happy Independence Day to you and yours!
The country is gonna get worse and worse. As a Christian I believe it is my job to change the hearts of man and not influence Washington. I believe the government is the antichrists realm.
I believe we should focus on getting people into the Kingdom and not get distracted with politics. Just my opinion. Here we seek no permanent dwelling. Blessings
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, and you may share it here. However, it is because people of good character sit by and watch while men and women of questionable character take the lead, that America finds herself where she is. While my ultimate hope and faith are in God through his Son, I also believe that America was founded with a divine mission that has not yet been completely fulfilled. While believers walk this earth, I believe they (we) are responsible to insist on reputable, if not Christian, leadership. Mk 12: 13 – 17
You can’t “GET” anyone into the Kingdom. All you or I can do be LIVE the WORD to the best of our inspired ability. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to “get” the attention of the individual lost. Just like politics, what people want to see in the CHURCH (the Body of Christ) is REAL PEOPLE! Not platitudes, not the “party line” … not even Scripture memorization, but REAL people living a REAL life wherever God plants them.
Hi, well I don’t exactly sit by and watch. I witness to people, support ministries, volunteer for Salvation Army and help people. I think that time is better spend sowing the seeds of the Gospel and doing His work then getting involved in politics. Please don’t misunderstand me, I am not suggesting that trying to shape government is not noble or honorable. I just think it is less productive then trying to shape the governed.
Laws are a reflection of a society. They are almost always reactionary. No Jessica’s Law without a Jessica. No Brady Bill without a Brady.
If we really want to change the government then we have to change its people.
Read through my blog entries … You will find we agree! 🙂 Many of my articles focus on the decline of morality which was divinely inspired. As the nation’s peoples have turned their back on God, so their morals have declined. BUT, from my experience, the Church is just as sick as the general population, although the ailments are a bit different. Far too many “Christians” are willing to condemn the lost to hell without a tear of compassion in their eye. As long as a person has breath, they are within reach of the Holy Spirit … maybe even while they are in transition! lol The point remains, I am not responsible to “save” others. I am responsible to live the life God puts before me, to walk the path He has set my feet on, and I believe whole-heartedly that America’s destiny is God ordained. We are allied with Israel until the end … and it’s not time yet for that! The Pilgrims and Puritans claimed this land as “a beacon on a Hill” to shine forth the WORD of God. And so she has been. More missionaries have been sent forth from the USA than anyplace else. No nation has shed more “divine” mercy on other nations in the form of food and medicine and even organizations like the Peace Corps. Just as we are all individuals, so there are many ways to walk the path with Jesus as the Way. No, I’m not saying all paths lead to God … nor are all gods the same.
So, that said, it would seem that you are I feel similarly that it is the hearts of the individuals that must be reminded (or taught) of their Godly heritage and the divine call on America. I only wish more believers saw it as equally vital to participate in the affairs of the state wherein they must live. After all, if Christianity is outlawed, it will certainly affect us all, yes?
Right, we cannot save anyone. Only the blood of Christ. But we can sow seeds and pray for people. I was just saying that engaging in politics is not as fruitful as engaging in things more centered around Christ and less handcuffed by gov and media.
Blessings to you.
*smiling* haha Likewise! You know the song,
“You say eether and I say eyether,
You say neether and I say nyther;
Eether, eyether, neether, nyther,
Let’s call the whole thing off!
You like potato and I like potahto,
You like tomato and I like tomahto;
Potato, potahto, tomato, tomahto!
Let’s call the whole thing off!
But oh! If we call the whole thing off,
Then we must part.
And oh! If we ever part,
Then that might break my heart!
So, if you like pajamas and I like pajahmas,
I’ll wear pajamas and give up pajahmas.
For we know we need each other,
So we better call the calling off off.
Let’s call the whole thing off!
hahaha Peace, brother! 🙂
Ha, don’t think I have heard that song before. I will have to youtube it.
Peace to you as well.
