Worth watching again … and again … and again!!!!
I really wasn’t that long ago that all over this nation people, conservative patriotic, America-loving people began to gather to vent their anger and frustration with the political status quo. They voiced dissatisfaction with BOTH political parties. They expressed a fatigue with the corruption, the deception, and the back room deals that are now accepted as the “norm.” These gatherings brought people together and gave them a Voice that played a HUGE role in the 2010 elections.
But then what?
Have these people suddenly become satisfied? or further dis-heartened?
I confess after watching the returns Tuesday for the New Hampshire primary, my hopes fell. I thought we wanted a change, a REAL change. Apparently not. I mean, yes, Romney is better than Obama. He is not a Marxist. He does not HATE America and Americans, like the current White House occupant. And I do believe he can beat Obama, but I also believe ANY of the candidates are able, if they (we) come together, to beat Obama next November. Sadly, too many others who share my frustration and dissatisfaction with the current regime, seem to be buying the GOP mainstream line who is also “acceptable” to the Democrats – Mitt Romney.
Now, if Romney truly exemplifies your beliefs and policy hopes, that is wonderful! Really! However, it seems that many are simply choosing him because, as I said, they believe he is the only one able to beat Obama. WRONG reason to choose a candidate – in my opinion.
.
Then there is also the money issue … this hits me because, may be obvious by now, I support Rick Santorum. It doesn’t seem “FAIR” that money be the deciding factor for a General Election, but then … no system is perfect! I wish I was rich enough to back my guy for some time …
What I want to know is … WHERE IS THE TEA PARTY?????? Where are the Patriots who were so influential last year in 2010? Have we gone back to our families and our jobs? Have we grown weary in well-doing? Have we fallen asleep?
Where is the PASSION?
Where are our VOICES?
Are we done? Or just starting?
Id Obama doing OK? Is there nothing we need to challenge? I’m a middle-aged single woman who works a regular full-time job, and yet THIS is my passion!!! THIS is what I think about (when I’m not thinking about my kids, that is!) THIS is what I’d like to get MORE involved in, but I’m not really sure how! But where are the rest of the TEA party Patriots? Have you found a candidate worth your support??? One who demonstrates your morals and lives similar values? One who carries himself confidently, but not arrogantly. One who appreciates his supporters, but also calls on them to be respectful of others and remember who the true opposition is? One who chooses not to revile his fellow Republicans, but still challenges them on all issues?
If you want Romney, YAY! Looking good for him. If you prefer another … as I told my kids, get to praying and talking with everyone you know!
Let’s get the candidate we WANT, that we deserve and not some wannabe picked by the powers that be – whom we outnumber!!! (and out smart?)
