How to Best Remember the Fallen This Memorial Day?
I got a phone call from my daughter who is active duty military overseas. She was crying. They had just had their Memorial Day Ceremony … simultaneously memorializing two more American soldiers. She asked me if there were still people who remembered those who die in service to our country. I confirmed to her that yes, there are still some Americans who understand the sacrifice made by those in uniform. As a mom who also served briefly years ago, it breaks my heart that she even had to ask.
